For five years now I have been running a travel blog as well, in which I created unique visual stories around destinations with videos tailored to Youtube, Facebook and Instagram.
Creative angles:
- Effectively using genre-specific visuals and video language to heighten a specific mood and evoke emotional reactions in potential visitors, for example a ghost video about Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Beach Cleanups in Bali as Charlie’s Angels and retro highlight reels of past videos
- Repurposing content in a way that is suitable to respective social media channels, such as square and vertical for Instagram/Pinterest or subtitled video for facebook
- Optimising video copy for SEO, for example a vlog on Valletta in Malta reached over 15K views on Youtube
